Our cultural background and environment:
Granollers, where Veus is based, is a town with a rich cultural heritage. The city has a long history of choral singing, and Veus is part of a vibrant choral scene in Granollers. The choir also benefits from the support of the Societat Coral Amics de la Unió, founded in 1887 (we’ll celebrate 150 years in 2027) which has a long tradition of promoting choral music and ensuring its diffusion.

Veus’s repertoire reflects the choir’s Catalan cultural background. The choir performs many traditional Catalan songs, as well as works by Catalan composers such as Josep Vila i Casañas, Francesc Pujol, and Joan Manén. Veus also performs music from other cultures, but it always strives to present the music in a way that is relevant to its own cultural heritage.

Veus is committed to making choral music accessible to everyone. The choir performs regularly in schools and community centers, and it offers workshops and educational programs for children and adults. Veus also works to promote diversity and inclusion in the choral world,
