Since 1999, the Chœur National des Jeunes has represented, promoted, and propagated French choral singing. Every year, 32 selected singers between the ages of 16 and 25 gather for rehearsal sessions lasting several days before performing concerts all over France and abroad. The choir performs a varied and sophisticated acappella repertoire. The individual voice training and the social exchange between the singers is also not neglected. In addition to their musical education, the young singers are also involved in the production and organization of the concerts and rehearsal sessions. The choir has been conducted by numerous internationally renowned conductors. Since 2021, the choir has been under the direction of the Swiss conductor Dominique Tille. After studying in Lausanne and Geneva, he went on to train in Berlin and New York. The versatile musician feels at home in classical music as well as in pop-jazz and is thus able to convey many facets of choral singing to the young singers.
