FRIDAY, 14th MAY 2021, BASEL SCHIFFLÄNDE

Cruise on the Rhine through Basel with the calmly gliding “Rhystärn”. In a very small group you can enjoy singing in a safe setting under the guidance of renowned workshop leaders. A round trip lasts 90 minutes. Departure and arrival are at the Schifflände Basel.

Excursion passengers can be taken on the upper deck (masks are required!). Registration as an excursion passenger is necessary, but also possible on site. For workshops, please register exclusively via the website.

09.00 – 10.30 h “WARM-UP at 9”
with Julia Schiwowa (max. 14 singers)
“Warm-up at 9” is a format that Julia Schiwowa and her team have been offering every day on the Internet since the lockdown began in March 2020. The opportunity to greet the day by singing attracts up to 1,000 participants every day. Fourteen adult singers will have the unique opportunity to experience “Warm-up at 9” live on the ship.

10.30 – 12.00 h “WARM-UP at 10.30”

This trip is exclusive to festival choirs. No further passengers can board.

13.30 – 15.00 h WORKSHOP “TICINO FOLK SONGS”
with Patrick Secchiari (max. 12 singers)
Do you remember the happy mood in a Ticino Grotto after a hot summer day? Twelve singers are invited to sing their way back to those dreamy days in Ticino under the direction of Patrick Secchiari. Michael Pfeuti on the contrabass and Basso Salerno on the accordion will accompany you.

A collection will be taken when you disembark. Your contribution will help pay for the workshop and / or the trip on the choir ship. We are counting on your generosity for the benefit of the Youth Choir Festival. Please note:

– Registration is required to attend a workshop. Places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. No previous experience is necessary; singing experience is an advantage.
– Excursion passengers are not allowed on the lower deck. For the ride on the upper deck you have to register via www.ejcf.ch or at the departure location.
– The number of passengers is limited to 150. Everyone is required to wear a mask.
– The food service on the upper deck will be open.
