Welcome dear audience!

After an extraordinary European Youth Choir Festival 2021, we are very happy that choral singing has returned and that children’s and youth choirs all over the world can largely rehearse again. Despite the many restrictions during the festival 2021, we are glad that we could organize it anyways, albeit in a completely different form and “only” for Swiss children and youth. The feedback from the choirs was consistently positive to euphoric, the workshop leaders were happy about the fact that they could finally work again, the staff was proud that an EJCF could take place under these circumstances.

However, this success should not hide the fact that the children’s and youth choirs continue to face many difficulties. Many young choirs have not been able to recruit new members for 1-2 years. So we will continue to do more for the children’s and youth choir scene in the future.

We also want to give something back to the audience, which has supported us for so long. This will happen with a spectacular EJCF 2023, which will take place 5 years after the last regular EJCF. We have learned a lot over the last years. Especially the festival team has not lacked for spontaneity and flexibility. Also, thanks to the many changes in 2021, completely new ideas were born, which we will follow up on in the future.

So be prepared for an unprecedented program, we can hardly wait!
